Bored and Lazy

I have so much to do and so little motivation today!

I need to:
- fold and put away all of the laundry
- mop the kitchen floor because Naala decided to get muddy when she went outside this morning
- wash/dry at least one load of laundry
- empty the dishwasher

My friend's busy taking care of her baby and her husband is home, so she's no help this week. At least I don't have to worry about dinner. We're having chili and it's already made, so I just need to heat it up. I wish I could just ignore all of the chores and shop, I'm in the mood to spend money. LOL

Update

Well...this weekend was exhausting! I did all my planning and organizing last week, and knew exactly what I needed to buy, etc. My Mom said she'd just copy me and make everything I was going to make...so I even made up shopping lists for us both. She's not feeling well...they think it might be kidney stones, so she wasn't very organized at all. She was tired and in pain and didn't do any planning! So Saturday morning, we get up and get ready and head to Wal-Mart to buy all of our non-perishable ingredients. I only spent $38 and some change! So then we head home, eat lunch, and Mom and Princess take a nap. After their naps, we head to Publix for the rest of our groceries. I was so worried that I was going to spend a fortune on all the meat and the rest of the ingredients. I did really good! I only spent $77 and some change! That's less than $120 total and I made enough meals for us to eat for 21 nights! That's awesome! I even made enough mashed potatoes for 4 meals, so I have some of my side dishes covered already, too! I was so proud of myself for spending so little! So we relax for a bit and then we all head to Cracker Barrel for dinner. Sailor's parents ended up going with us, so we had a big group! It went really well, we all stuffed ourselves and then went home. Sunday morning, we got up, ate breakfast, and then got started on our cooking! I made my 21 meals, my Mom helped...and she made about 4 meals for herself. LOL Not exactly our goal. I was going to make 26...but I ended up using my spaghetti sauce in the lasagna instead of buying separate jars of sauce. No big deal, spaghetti's easy enough to make. And then I didn't have enough Chicken, so only made enough marinade for 1 meal. I also only made 3 of the chili and meatloaf instead of 4 each. It went great and it was fun, but exhausting! I was so tired and cranky when we were done! I didn't take breaks, though. I know you're supposed to take frequent breaks, but I prefer to just work my bum off til I'm done. I did break for lunch, though. And I'd sit down and relax for a minute while I was making my labels. I'll definitely do this again, but not sure if my Mom will be joining me.

My vent...everyone is sucking the fun out of announcing my pregnancy. Okay, not everyone, y'all have all been great. Some are very excited for me and only have positive things to say. But others are making comments like not wanting to congratulate me too early, and stuff like that...refering to my past miscarriages. That is not what I need to be thinking of. Why would someone say something like that? It's only going to make me worry. I'm trying my best not to think of it because I know the medicine is working and I have no reason to worry. But then they make their comments. I just don't get it. Why can't they just be happy for me? I'm really starting to wish I would've just kept my news to myself until I was showing. :(

Cook-a-Thon

This weekend is the first monthly Cook-a-Thon for me and my Mom. We have decided (thanks to the Super Suppers craze) that we'd start doing Once-a-Month Cooking together. I got The Freezer Cooking Manual by 30 Day Gourmet from the library and LOVE it! I'm going to buy it as soon as I can find it in a store! It has alot of helpful worksheets and planning/organizational tips as well as some great recipes! I have all of my meals planned out, and I think my Mom is going to just copy me. LOL We'll go over all the details tonight, and then go shopping in the morning, then set everything up on Saturday night. On Sunday, we'll begin cooking! I'm really excited about this. I'm making 10 different meals and will be making 2, 3, and 4 of each meal, plus a side dish. This will be about 26 nights worth of food. Since we go to Ocala alot and I go out for Coffee and other Moms events with the playgroup alot, those 26 meals should last us about 2 months or longer! We're going to do this every month, so I'll be able to save up and have a bunch of food for when Sailor goes to Greece and I have the baby. I wonder if I could send him frozen food while he's over there...that would definitely save on his eating expenses while he's there. I'd hate for us to eat good food while he's eating mac n cheese and ramen noodles...and McDonald's.

Baby, Baby, Baby!

My best friend had her baby this morning! Jalynn was born at 1:55 this morning and weighed 7 lbs, 5 ozs and was 20.5 inches long. I'm so excited! I'm going to go see them sometime today or tomorrow. Jessica (Jalynn's Mom) has been my best friend since 2nd grade. We lost contact for a few years when I lived in Cali, but when I moved back, we picked up right where we left off! I found out I was pregnant with #1 the day that her son was due (while I was on house hunting leave to move back here), and I found out I was pregnant for the 5th time (#1,3, and 4 were m/c) a week after her due date with this one. I was the first one her little boy ever peed on! LMAO! I'm never gonna let him forget it, either, I'll be embarassing him with that story when he goes to prom! I wish she lived closer, I hate tha we don't get to see eachother that often. But we do talk almost every day...and when we talk, we usually talk almost all day long! Okay, I'm done boring y'all, I'm just really excited!

BIG FAT

+

Yay! I'm so excited! My HCG is at 164, so that's good, and my Progesterone level is good...so I don't have to worry about a m/c this time. I go in on March 15th for an U/S!

No results yet :(

All the doctor did today was order bloodwork for me. The results should tell me if I'm pregnant, and what my HCG level is, and what my Progesterone levels are. I should find out the results of everything tomorrow morning.

Long Weekend!

Sailor's friend got here at about 6pm on Friday, so Sailor and Lawnboy went to pick him up and then me and Princess met them all at a Japanese restaurant. It was soooo good! I just LOVE Japanese food! Princess fell asleep in the van on the way back from the restaurant, so I packed up real quick (everything was already right by the door) and headed to my parents' house. The guys played World of Warcraft and just hung out here. Saturday morning, I got geared up for a day of shopping with Princess, my mom, my aunt, and my grandma. We went to the mall, then Toys R Us, then lunch at Applebees, and more shopping at Griffins before finally heading back to the house. Everyone took a nap except me and my aunt, so we went to Bealls for more shopping. LOL When we got back, everyone was awake and Sailor was there. We hung out for a little bit and then ordered dinner. Sailor and Princess went to his parents' house for dinner. We got out the foot baths and gave eachother pedicures. So much fun! We all went to bed kinda early and then got up early for a big waffle breakfast. Yum! My aunt and grandma went home and I went out for more shopping with my parents. We went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and then Books-a-Million...then we got the van washed and headed home for lunch. I didn't get home til LATE and then slept in this morning. Sailor woke me up shortly after 10:30 and told me that Princess was out of diapers, so I got up, went to Wal-mart, and then Sailor and Princess met me at IHOP for brunch. Despite my great weekend, I've been in an awful mood all day! I'm just so bitchy and everything Sailor does seems to piss me off today. I hate days like this!

I go in tomorrow morning, at 9:30, for my pregnancy test! I'm so excited! I just know it's gonna be positive, I feel like I'm pregnant, so I'm gonna be really disappointed if I'm not.

Today's plans...

I managed to do the dishes and cook dinner last night...only to create more dirty dishes! LOL I also got the office straightened up. Today I folded the clean laundry and put most of it away and started feeling funny so had to take a break. I'll finish putting the laundry away in a minute. Then I have to wash and dry a load of whites cuz Sailor is out of tshirts and forgot to tell me (he's lucky I put away the other laundry today and noticed!) and I have to do the dishes...again! I need to straighten up the living room a little, but that will be much easier once the rest of the laundry is put away. Sailor's friend is flying in tonight from Indiana and then flying out to Cuba tomorrow. So, after we meet up with him, me and Princess will be going to visit Nana and Poppy! So, I need to take a shower and pack everything up before then. Not too bad, I can do it!

Lazy, Lazy, Lazy

So Monday was the mall playdate, Tuesday I was sick all day, and the A/C guys were here all day yesterday (making a mess!)...which means I have done absolutely NO cleaning all week! That means that today is cleaning day, right? LOL Yea, sure. I put Lexi's toy box in the office because she kept standing in it when it was in her bedroom, so I put a few toys in there, cleaned up her laundry and put a bunch of toys away in a different toy box in her room (the folding laundry/toy storage things...so she can't break it if she stands on it). So her stuff is straightened up a little. I did all that because it needed to be done, but also added a nice distraction from real cleaning. LOL My cleaning buddy friend just called, so I guess I can get motivated to clean the kitchen now.

ETA: WELL...she motivated me enough for me to get my dishwasher emptied, haven't reloaded it yet. LOL I vacuumed the hall and Princess's room (the mess that the A/C guys left), and grabbed a trash bag to try and combat the clutter in the office (again, avoiding the kitchen, lol), but got light headed, so had to take a break. Maybe I'll try to clean while sitting.

Unhappy Valentine's Day

I woke up with a tummy ache yesterday morning and just knew it was gonna be a bad day! I spent ALL day either sleeping or in the bathroom. It was a miserable day, luckily Sailor got home at about 1 something, so he was able to take care of Princess. Luckily, it was only a 24 hour thing because I feel fine today. Should probably take some Immodium or Pepto just to be safe, but at least I'm not puking anymore!

The A/C guys are here today taking out the old unit and installing the new one. Yay! The A/C is quite a bit more than we expected it to be. We had them come out for a quote a little over a year ago and it was like $2000-$3000, I don't remember, but the prices have gone up since then and it's $4700! I don't know how we're gonna be able to afford to close in the garage, but it HAS to be done! At least we won't have to pay anyone for labor.

Princess's Stats

Stolen From JavaMama

At 24 months:
your child is 23.25 pounds, and that is at the 8th percentile for weight.
your child is 33.5 inches, and that is at the 37th percentile for height

That's last month's stats, I haven't weighed or measured her since. When I weigh her on my mom's scale, it's always more than the doctor's scale, so don't know how accurate it is.

Go HERE to check your kids' stats!

Busch Gardens!

I just called Busch Gardens to make sure we'll be able to get in free this year (just wanted to confirm, I'd hate to get there and then have to pay!). The lady said that we can get in to each park free once a year. So we can go to Sea World once a year and Busch Gardens once a year. Yay! I'm hoping to take Lawnboy to Busch Gardens for his birthday next month, he'll be 15! I'm so excited, I haven't been to Busch Gardens since I was really young! I don't even remember it!

Potty Power?

We got a DVD called Potty Power, which we really liked, and we got a couple Potty books...all from the library. We've been slacking on having Princess watch her DVD, but I don't really "need" the DVD to potty train, do I? So Sunday night, I stripped Princess and put her on her potty, while we played with blocks. I sat on the floor next to her and we just played with her different shaped blocks, labeling them all and handing them back and forth...for like 30 minutes! I moved to the chair (we were in the office) and kept playing with her, and then she just got up and put the lid down and said "All Done" and she handed me her pants to put on her. So I told her to go get a diaper and she ran, got a diaper, and came back...only to pee right in front of the potty. Ugh! So I'm thinking at least she knows when she has to go, right? She just thinks that she has to go in a diaper. Fast forward to a few minutes ago, she starts pulling on her pants and saying help, so I took her pants and diaper off and sat her on the potty. She didn't want to sit on the potty. So she's standing in front of the potty playing, and pees on the floor! AGAIN! Both times, I sat her on the potty, told her she peed and she should pee in her potty. I told her next time to let me know when she has to pee and to sit on her potty. Princess obviously does NOT have Potty Power. She's never peed on the potty, and we're not really pushing the potty training right now...it seems that no matter how much I read, I just don't know how to teach her to use the potty.

2WW

I'm officially in my 2 week wait! We started trying on the 2nd and still have to today and Wednesday, but I think I ovulated yesterday or am ovulating today. I started having ovulation pains yesterday afternoon and I've read that ovulation usually happens w/in 24 hours of the cramps. So, I guess it's a good thing we waited til midnight on the 4th to try! LOL I start using the Progesterone gel on the 14th (I had NO problems getting insurance to pay for it, by the way, Yay! I was worried!), and I test on the 20th! I'm so anxious! The countdown begins...

Greece

We got the results back of Sailor's application for Orders and he's going to Greece for a year! We have no clue when he's leave, but I'm not looking forward to him going! I know it'll be good for his career, and I am looking forward to visiting, but a year without him is gonna be tough!

More Fish!

Sailor came home today with MORE fish! LOL

We have now added:
4 Painted Glass Tetras
5 Guppies
1 Bala Shark

So we now have 30 fish! And we think that one or two of the Guppies and one of the Columbian Sharks are pregnant! Woo Hoo! Princess is LOVING all the fish and so are we! I used to hate going to the kitchen, but now I'm happy everytime because I have to walk by the fish tank to get into the kitchen! :)

The Motivator

I still talk to my best friend since 2nd grade, we actually talk once or twice a week, for several hours at a time. How can we have so much to talk about? I have no clue. But we talk during chores, we take eachother to the bathroom (I know, gross, but her and Sailor are the only ones I'll keep talking to if I have to pee...and I always warn her first), etc. For some reason, when we talk, I get motivated to clean. We'll talk about what chores we need to do for the day, and we'll often do our dishes together.

Anyway, she called yesterday to let me know how her appt went on Tuesday (she's pregnant and due on Feb 15). I had several goals yesterday, and was able to reach ALL of them while we were talking. I cleaned my shower and bathroom counter, vacuumed both bathrooms (I cleaned Princess's bathroom the day before), loaded and ran the dishwasher, put Sailor's uniforms in the dryer, started a load of jeans, hung the uniforms up, dried the jeans, put the jeans away, and washed towels. I'm in some sort of "nesting" period right now because we're trying to get pregnant (very similar to the one when you're at the end of the pregnancy). I'm wanting to get all of the baby stuff out of Princess's room and into the baby room...but we don't have a baby room yet. We need to close off the garage, move our office to the garage, and turn the office into a nursery. So I have all of this baby stuff and no where to put it. So I took a storage box and put away a few of Princess's toys that she's outgrown or just doesn't need anymore. We still have the Winnie the Pooh border and wall clings up in her room, and they're all moveable, so it'll be easy to move it to the nursery...once we get a nursery. I'm so sick of the Winnie the Pooh stuff in her Disney Princess room. LOL We originally planned on our kids sharing a room, so we were just gonna make it half Princess/half Pooh...unless we have a girl, and then we'd probably just make it all Princess to make it easier. But our Princess has too much stuff. Last year when we started trying, we hadn't moved Princess out of the crib yet, so I didn't go through all this...she still needed most of her baby stuff. But now that we've made it through another Christmas and birthday...we have no room for everything!

I'm so anxious to get our tax money back and get a new A/C, then maybe we can get started on all the work we need to do in the garage! By the way, here's my final plan for the garage...put up a big sliding glass door where the garage door is, insulate the outside walls and put up new drywall, level the garage floor, put up a wall and door blocking off the laundry room, put up curtains in front of the glass door, and paint the floor and walls. Oh, and we have to put a shed out back so we'll have somewhere to put all the lawn equipment.
