She's Here!

I went in on Friday night to be induced and was already having contractions! Dr inserted the pill and contractions started kicking up a bit. They gave me something to help me sleep and told me it'd be a long night. At about 2am, the contractions were getting much more painful, so I asked the nurse to check me. I was still only 2cm, so declined the epidural (wanted to be a little farther along first) and just asked for pain meds in my iv. About an hour later, I woke up and was trying to fight the urge to push! I demanded my epidural (in denial here) and told them that I had the urge to push. They told me to try not to and they checked me and then called the Dr. I, obviously, didn't get my epidural. I attempted not to push until I just couldn't stop it and Bebe was born before my Dr arrived! I had about 7 minutes of pushing/non-pushing, lol. She arrived at 3:17am on October 21st. She weighed 8 lbs, 7 ozs, was 20 inches long. She had some blood sugar issues because of my gestational diabetes, but is doing great now. She's a great sleeper and eater! I had very little tearing and didn't need any stitches. I feel great...probably a little too great because I keep overdoing it, lol. Sailor decided to stay an extra week to spend more time with me and the girls. Princess is doing great with her, no issues so far! I'm sure there will be some, especially once Sailor goes back to Greece, but so far, so good!

Quick Update

Sailor is home! His plane FINALLY (after many delays) got here just after 10 Saturday night. Princess was soooo excited (and surprised) to see him! She just kinda stared at him like she didn't know he was real, then ran up to him. Since then, she hasn't let him out of her sight! If he goes to the bathroom, she has a meltdown asking where he is, lol. It's really sweet, but sad, too...I know he's going to have to leave again soon. I'm really dreading him leaving again, I wish I could go back when he does, but there's no time to get everything ready to go by then...plus, he still needs to get things set up for us there and it's safest to wait til after the 2 month shots for Bebe to go over there. Speaking of Bebe...she'll be here in just a few more days! I'm so excited!

We have a Date!

I had my appt yesterday (I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow). I'm 2cm and 60%...the Dr was really moving around in there, it was NOT comfortable, so maybe he got things started! If I don't go into labor on my own, we'll be inducing next Friday night at 8pm! I'm so excited! AND...I will see Sailor TOMORROW! Woo Hoo!

Sailor will be home on Saturday and we're hoping Bebe will make her appearance shortly after that (well, after a little bit of alone time, of course, lol). I've been in alot of pain since yesterday afternoon...I've had pelvic pain the entire pregnancy, but this is much worse...I can barely walk, I'm having to hold onto the wall just to get down the hall. I'm hoping this means that something's happening and it won't be long. I was planning on overdoing it this week to kinda get ready and then attempt to induce myself over the weekend, but guess that's not gonna happen. If I can't walk, I don't see how I'm going to do much of anything, so overdoing it is definitely out of the question!

A Lil Bummed...

The doctor's office called back on Friday and the other doctor is not able to induce me. I guess the hospital won't do it since he's not my doctor and it's elective...he's only there for if I happen to go in on my own. I'm so frustrated! Sailor said that it is possible for him to come a week later, but I'm scared that if he does, I'll go in before he gets here. I just don't know what to do...I'd have to decide by tomorrow if he's going to wait another week. I guess we're just going to try a bunch of different natural induction methods...wish us luck! Jaws says I should just go in, tell them I'm having contractions and that I live 2 hours away and am not going home without my baby, lol. I dunno if that'd work or not, but I'm almost to the point where I'll try anything!

Almost Done!

I had my appt yesterday, I'll be 37 weeks on Saturday. I'm dilated 1cm (was last week, too, Dr just didn't mention it). I'm hoping the doctor will call me back in the morning to discuss inducing. Sailor is going to be home on leave from Oct 14-25th...but the Dr will be out of town from Oct 14-21. So, he wants to induce on the 22nd and I want Sailor to get more than 3 days with his daughter. I talked it over with him and left a message for Dr to call me, hopefully his stand-in (he doesn't have another Dr at his practice, but there is a Dr that would be delivering me if I went in naturally while he was gone) will induce me while he's gone so that we can have some family time before Sailor leaves again. My next (and last) appt is Oct 12. So...just over a week til hubby is home! I'm so excited!

Daddy's Girl

Saturday morning, Princess said "Dada home!", so I told her no, Dada's not home. Then she holds up her fingers and says "2 weeks!", so I said "yep, 2 more weeks", and she kept saying it over and over again "2 weeks!" She's so excited, it's so cute! I can't wait til he comes home, I'm not going to tell her where we're going, just gonna surprise her when we pick him up. She'll be sooo excited to see him!
