House!

I have found a house! It didn't take long at all. There really wasn't much in my price range at all, but I actually fell in love with the first one I saw! I looked at others, of course, but ended up going back to the first one and making an offer. I now have a contract on it and will be closing in the middle of April.

Now for the bad news...Sailor isn't coming home until July. He was originally supposed to come home in July, but then when he picked his orders, found out that he'd be coming back in April. So when I left, I left alot of stuff there since he'd be back so soon. I've been totally stressed out, I know that I'm not the only military wife and I know that time apart is just part of the job, but it sucks! There are times when I'm totally into this life, but others when I just don't know if I'm strong enough for it. I think it's mostly a difference of can't and don't want to. I know that I can do it all myself, but I really don't want to...so sometimes I start feeling like I can't, you know?

I am really anxious to get settled into our new house, but I really wanted Sailor to be part of the painting and moving and settling in process. I also have a long honey-do list for him...I'm sure he's excited, lol.

You know you're completely capable of handling these things by yourself, look you just bought a house!! You're a strong person...you've made it this far with this lifestyle, you've made it further than many others!!!

Congrats on finding a house!! It's so nice to have you back here. As for being a military wife, it takes a special breed to be able to do it all. You have support of friends so you can support Sailor. We all know you can do it, and just think of how it will hopefully pay off in the long run for hanging in there. It won't always be "on your own." We miss you and we're glad you're back!
