Sick of it!

I'm so fucking sick of dealing with this house! All summer long, I had to deal with a leaky a/c. I can't afford to replace it (or even to fix it) and Sailor refuses to get a loan for it. Now that summer is over and we're not using the a/c...the water heater's not working! I thought we'd fixed the problem with it, it kept getting overheated last year, so we changed the temp and it hasn't overheated since...until a few days ago. Now we have to reset the damn thing at least twice a day! I'm sick of not being able to take a shower when I want, I'm sick of having to check the water heater all the time, and I'm sick of feeling like my house is falling apart! I just tried to take a shower, and the water wouldn't get warm, so I had to go and reset it again and shocked myself in the process because my finger slipped and hit the metal. I'm just so tired of dealing with it! I wish we could sell the house now and be done with it!

Halloween Fun!

Friday we went on a Field Trip with the playgroup to Connor's A-maiz-ing Acres! Princess had sooo much fun! We went through the corn maze, went on a hayride, saw some cows and a donkey and roosters and chickens and a pig! Then we went on the cow train! We had a blast! It was such a great day and the weather was perfect!

Yesterday was the 2nd annual Jax-Park Halloween Party! The doors were supposed to be unlocked an hour before the party so everyone could decorate and set up, but they were an hour late. So we had to run around like crazy getting everything set up and ready for the party, but we all worked together and worked fast and got it done! Princess had fun and enjoyed her freedom! Since I was so busy getting stuff done, she got to run around and do whatever she wanted, and pig out on chips! I looked up from setting up the tables a couple times and she was dancing around the room, sooo cute! We had a great turnout and everyone had alot of fun! I didn't really get much time to relax and talk, but that's okay, I like being busy. I'd rather be doing something productive than sitting around chatting, anyway! We didn't get home til shortly after 8, I can't believe we stayed so late! I didn't realize what time it was til I got in the car, time really flew by! It really was a great party! I'm so proud that everyone jumped right in and helped out with everything. I'm a bit surprised at how smoothly everything went, with a group that big, I'd expect more chaos, but it went really well. Guess it's time to get started on the Christmas Party, I can't wait! :)

Spooktacular!

We had a spooktacular time at Sea World on Saturday! We brought Lawnboy with us to thank him for all the work he's been doing around the house. He's so great with Princess, she loves him! We started off with some Trick or Treating and Cookie decorating and then met the group for lunch and then did more Trick or Treating. The kids got lots of good stuff! Then we bought Princess some stuffed horses (Clyde and Dale) and then saw the Budweiser horses and the donkey. We went on the roller coaster (scared the crap out of me, but it was great!), saw the manatees, went to the Dolphin show (for about 5-10 minutes, then it was delayed), viewed the dolphins at the underwater cove, pet the dolphins, met back up with the group, went to the arcades...we won Princess a baby turtle (named Squirt) and two HUGE fish (Marlin and Dory), last time we went, we won her Nemo and Shamu. Then we had dinner, and saw the night show of Shamu! We were all soooo exhausted! I got some great pictures and we had alot of fun! I wish we could've spent more time with the group, but it was so hard to get everyone to agree. Sailor had an idea of what he wanted to do and when as soon as he got the map, so I was trying to give him what he wanted and still try and do what everyone else wanted...sooo hard!

New Orders

I'm impatiently waiting to pick new orders. We can start negotiating for them now. Problem is, Sailor is attempting to change rates, which is good, but it means that if he's able to change jobs, we won't get to keep whatever orders we pick now. But we still have to pick something we want and fight for something good in case something goes wrong and he doesn't get to change rates. If he does switch, he'll be going to school for a year in Great Lakes and then we'll get to pick orders again. Fun, fun! I really hope he gets it, though! I don't want to go to Great Lakes (especially just for a year, I'd hate to pack up all our stuff and move it all the way up there for a year), but I do want him to get this job. So he might be going alone, not sure yet. We're kinda just playing it by ear but still trying to plan at the same time for all the what ifs. First he has to take some tests to determine if he'll be able to go to the school. Fingers crossed! I just hate the not knowing. I'm excited about the change (part of me is, anyway), but frustrated that even when we pick orders, we won't really know where we're moving to.

Baby Shower!

Sunday was the Baby Shower for Jaws. We went to Don Pablo's and had a great time! She got lots of great gifts and we had so much fun talking and celebrating! The food and cake was awesome! I'm so glad I could do this for her!

2. Blue needs a booster. (okay...)

3. Blue needs Green. (money? I definitely need that!)

4. Blue needs help! (yes, yes, I do.)

5. Blue needs a punctual Plaxico. (WTF is that?!)

6. Blue needs painting. (I need to paint the house, don't really want anyone painting my body...unless it's my Sailor, lol)

7. Blue needs dry conditions. (for the paint?)

8. Blue needs to help Steve. (help Steve with what?)

9. Blue needs Linux! (???)

10. Blue needs umpire at field site. (What?!)

Interesting.

Sick!

Everyone's been sick and it seems it was my turn. I woke up feeling yucky Saturday morning, with a scratchy throat. By Saturday night, I was stuffy and carrying around a box of tissues. Sunday morning, my throat felt better, but my head felt like crap! My head was throbbing, my nose was stuffed, and my contact was in pieces, so I couldn't see all day! I'm feeling alot better now, still a little stuffy, but I should be 100% soon. I hate being sick! I haven't gotten anything done, and now my kitchen sink stinks! LOL I really need to empty and reload the dishwasher and clean the sink.

In-Law Issues

Last time I went to Ocala, I emailed my MIL and told her that I was going to be in Gainesville all day on Saturday and would be in Ocala on Sunday. I asked her when a good time would be for me and Princess to stop by (she has meetings on Sundays and I don't know what time they're usually over). A couple days later, she responded and said that she got my email but when she went back later to reply, all of her old mail was deleted, so she asked me when I was going to be there and asked me to resend some pictures that I had sent. I replied right away and told her my plans for the weekend and sent the pics again. No response. Saturday I went to Gainesville with my parents, and on the way home, stopped at the grocery store to get breakfast stuff. While we were there, we ran into my FIL, who said that my MIL was in the truck, so me and Princess followed him out to visit her. We stayed there for about 10 minutes and they played with Princess. She told me that she had lost my first email, I told her that I responded and told her that I was in Gainesville all day and we had just gotten back in town. I told her what the email said (basically that I was wondering when she'd be free, etc). Wouldn't that have been the perfect opportunity for her to speak up and tell me when she'd be available? Should I really have to drag it out of her? She didn't say when she was available and she never called. She knows my parents' number, it's on her microwave, I see it every time I go there. I told her I'd be in town all day the next day. She finally called Sailor (at home) at like 7 at night and asked him if I was still in town. Ummm, no, Princess has a bedtime. Why couldn't she have called me, at my parents' house, during the day? Sailor's dad was working during the weekend (he's a cop, so I never know his schedule, but I do know that he was working days that weekend), so I also didn't know when he'd be home. A couple days later, Sailor was talking to his dad and he told Sailor that he was hurt that I didn't come by and that they only saw us for 10 minutes in the parking lot. So whose fault do you think it is? Mine, of course! Ugh! They've been pulling this shit since Princess was born. (When I was trying to breastfeed Princess the day we came home from the hospital, his mom complained later that I was trying to keep Princess from her because I was in the other room the whole time Sailor and his dad were at the store...she's the one that seemed uncomfortable with me doing it in front of her, that's why I did it in the back room, and I was having problems, that's why it took so long.) They never call us, his dad comes over to help out with the house, but she never comes with him (and I have asked several times for her to join so we can spend time together). And he comes to work on the house, he spends like 5 minutes max with me and Princess. When his dad does call, it's never to talk about or to me or Princess. My parents call and ask to speak to Princess, at least once a week! No one in Sailor's family called him on his birthday, my mom is the only one that called him. His mom is a Jahovah's Witness (sp?), but his dad is not, so his dad could still call him. He's given us this truck to use, and he helps us out, but that's not really showing they care. Anyway, when his dad told him he was hurt that we didn't stop by, he also said that he wants Princess for a weekend. Ummm, NO. They don't know Princess because they don't make the effort. And she's not ready for overnight visits. You know how protective I am, I don't even let anyone babysit her! So now I feel like they just don't like me and don't want to spend time with me, they just want to take Princess. And Sailor thinks I'm blowing it up. I just don't get why his parents get their feelings hurt and it's all my fault, yet no one gives a shit when my feelings are hurt. They don't show they care about us, so why should I make an extra effort? Why can't they try every once in a while to act like they want to be involved in our lives? Oh, and he just told me last night that they're going to visit his brother at the end of the month in Connecticut (they just moved there at the end of July). They never visited us in Cali, she never visits us when we're an hour and a half away, yet they're going up there to visit him. Why shouldn't I feel like they don't like me?

Great Weekend!

Saturday morning I was able to get away for 3 hours, all by myself, to run some errands! After that, I came home and me and Sailor cleaned out the car...threw out all the trash, put the uniforms in the house, and cleaned the leather. We still need to vacuum and wash the outside, but at least it's not so cluttered! Saturday night was our quarterly BUNCO get together! We had the best turnout ever with 20 people playing! It was sooo much fun! I won the roll-off for the most Bunco's (4). Great food, great company, and great fun! Sunday morning, me and Princess went to visit my grandma to celebrate her 70th birthday! My parents and brother and one of my uncles and his girlfriend met us there. We all went to an Italian restaurant on the beach. I had a really good calzone! Yummm! After lunch, we went back to my grandma's and had some cake, fruit, and coffee. While we were visiting my family, Sailor went to help his Dad get some work done on his old house (he's getting it ready to sell). He got home at about 8 last night...with a truck! His Dad is letting us use the truck until we move. It's already paid for and he just got a new truck a couple days ago, so we're using the old one as long as we're in Florida. I'm hoping we can get stickers on it soon so Sailor can take the truck to work and I can have the car. I just don't feel comfortable putting Princess in a truck. I'll probably have to do that today to go to the playdate, though, unless Jaws decides to go and drive us.
