U/S Update

Sailor is still not convinced. He said that it looked like the baby was in the fetal position and it was hard for him to see anything. He also admitted that it's the Dr's job and he's sure he knows what he's doing. I think part of it is just denial, but either way, I went ahead and called this place that does free ultrasounds and we'll be going next week for a 2nd opinion. LOL If they say boy, we'll just have to go ahead and pick a boy and a girl name and see what the Dr says when I go back next month. Until then, I'm looking at girl names and calling her a she. If they also say girl, Sailor's just going to have to face it. He's, of course, happy with either...I mean, after 3 miscarriages, we're just happy to have a healthy pregnancy, you know? But he really wants a son.

It's a Girl!

I'm in shock. I really thought it was a boy, I just had a feeling, but I guess I was wrong! LOL The doctor said he's 99% sure it's a girl. As y'all know, I'm perfectly happy with either, and I do plan on having another after this, so hopefully that one will be a boy. I would like to have a boy, just no preference on whether it's baby #2 or #3. I guess I better start looking at girl names. I am glad that they'll be able to share a room and I won't have to buy as much clothes. I was finally starting to get into the blue stuff, though. LOL

LOL!

Okay, this is my 3rd and LAST post about the birthday cake, but it's too funny. We just ate dinner and I asked Princess if she wanted some "birthday" cake" (aka mini cupcakes). She got all excited and I told her to ask Daddy if he wanted any, so she goes up to him, starts jumping up and down, and says "birthday cake! birthday cake! birthdaaay CAKE!" LOL So I got us all some birthday cake and she immediately eats the icing off and then starts putting the sprinkles that had fallen off, back onto the naked cupcake. It was so cute. When she was done eating, she said "Happy Birthday, Mama!"

In other news, TOMORROW is the day! I'm so excited! I can't wait to find out the baby's sex! Any last minute guesses? I'm still feeling like it's a boy, but we shall soon see! Oh, and everyone keep your fingers crossed that he/she is not shy! LOL

Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day, Everyone! We're not really doing much of anything today. I went to the grocery store and got some hot dogs, chips, and other essentials...as well as some "birthday" mini-cupcakes for Princess. She was so excited when I got home and showed them to her. LOL I think Sailor's planning on doing a little more pressure washing today, but other than that, we'll probably just bum it like usual. We're having chili dogs for dinner. Yum!

Birthday Cake

Princess has been asking for birthday cake all day today! Why? Because it's been on like every show she's watched! LOL Apparently today was just the day for birthdays...it was Eeyore's birthday on her Winnie the Pooh movie, then it was Charlie's birthday on Charlie and Lola, and Lilo's birthday on Lilo and Stitch. She was already asking for it after watching Winnie the Pooh, but then after the other two shows, it became an all day obsession. Even after she brushed her teeth and we were about to put her to bed, she was asking for it. LOL Maybe I'll get a cake for Memorial Day tomorrow.

I also painted her toenails today. They're pretty and pink and sparkly. She's very proud of them and kept shoving her feet in Sailor's face to show them off. It's so cute!

Let's Talk About Sex...

I'm soooo anxious to find out the sex of the baby! It's really killing me! I want to shop so bad and I have a list of names that I'm just dying to share with Sailor. But, he won't discuss names until we know the sex. I can't wait much longer! I know it's just under 2 weeks away, but I seriously can't wait. I want to know...NOW! If I can't find out yet, can I at least discuss names? Ugh! He's torturing me on purpose, I'm convinced that this is his cruel way of attempting to teach me to be patient. It's not gonna work, I'll never be patient. LOL

Crappy Day

I got very little sleep Saturday night, so was tired and cranky all day yesterday! We went out to breakfast with my parents, brother, grandma, and some aunts and uncles. It was really good and I pigged out, but the rest of the day sucked. I went back to my parent's house afterwards and took a short nap, but it didn't make me feel any better. When we got home last night, I just broke down and started crying because we were out of cheese. LOL It was so stupid, and had nothing to do with my mood, but I just started crying and couldn't stop! I was a little depressed all weekend, so that was part of it, plus being tired and for some reason, yesterday it really hit me that Sailor's gonna be gone soon. I cried for several hours and then finally just went to bed...I never even ate dinner. Such a sucky Mother's Day and everyone tried to make it a good one. My brother got me a pink rose, Princess put her handprints on a Best Mom Hands Down shirt, and I got the breakfast that I wanted, plus my Mom promised me a pedicure day! I just wish I could've been in a better mood to really enjoy it.

First Kicks

Me and Sailor were laying in bed last night and I felt the baby kick! I've felt a couple flutters before, but this was definitely a kick! So I had Sailor put his hand on my belly and the baby kicked again. It wasn't strong enough for him to feel it, but definitely strong enough for me to feel it! So sweet!

Date Night!

Sailor called me on his way home from work Wednesday and asked me out on a date! It was so sweet. He wouldn't tell me where we were going, but gave me my dinner choices (chicken or stuffed shrimp) and said there was going to be an activity as well as dinner. So I was in suspense for a couple days and finally Friday afternoon, he told me we were going to a murder mystery dinner! How fun! I was so excited, I've always wanted to go to one of those!

So last night we got ready and headed out! We had such a great time! The people at our table thought we were newlyweds! LOL We were just so happy to be going out on a date, it's been forever! The show was funny and very entertaining. The audience, well, a little obnoxious...at least the table behind me was. The service was also great. The food? Not so good. The chicken had bones in it, and as some of you know, I don't eat food with bones in it. I'm just weird and don't like eating around the bones, grosses me out. I did have a couple bites of it anyway, but I just didn't like it. Sailor liked his, though. I guess I should've gotten the shrimp, I was just a little worried about the stuffed part. My appetizer was great, though, can't really go wrong with cheese sticks! We also had dinner rolls, salad, and dessert. We did not guess "whodunit", but we didn't really care about that, we had such a great time!

Great Day!

My appt was at 1:45 today and Sailor was able to get off for long enough to join us! Woo Hoo! He tried to surprise me, but I had a feeling he was going to be there. Princess was so good, her and Sailor just colored the whole time! I had to have a full exam (yuck) and then an u/s and the heartbeat. We got a great picture of the baby waving! So cute! Princess loved being able to see and hear the baby! She's gonna be such a great big sister! The heartbeat was 163, nice and strong! After all of that, we talked about delivery (my problems with delivering Princess, etc) and he assured me that we would not have the same problems. Sailor and him discussed how cool it would be for the baby to be born on Halloween (due date is the 28th), but because of delivery issues, it'd probably be best to deliver about a week early (since they gain about 1/2 a pound a week at the end). We set up an appt for my next u/s, May 30th! I'll be 18 weeks by then, so we should definitely be able to tell the sex! Woo Hoo! I'm sooo excited!

Sailor took Princess back to work with him and I came home to pick up a couple neighbors and we went and got our nails done! One of the girls got her nails done while we all chatted and I got my eyebrows waxed. And then I got a pedicure. My feet look and feel sooo good! It was so nice to relax and be pampered.

Bad Mood

I'm in such a crappy mood and I don't know why. I have a really bad headache, it's just gotten worse and worse all day. And Lawnboy came over wanting Sailor to play with his stupid paintball gun, so out he goes, no bye sweetie, nothing, just leaves. I go to bring the barking Naala to him and I get a whiff of smoke (ewwwwww) and there's more people out there than I thought there would be. Plus the sound of the paintball gun is making my headache even worse. I'm just in a shitty mood. I'm very touchy and pissed off at everything. I hate moods like this and Sailor just yells at me when I cry because he doesn't understand what's wrong with me. I'm just miserable.

Update: Once the Tylenol kicked in, I felt better. I had some yummy Arby's for dinner and feel even better now! So glad that's over! LOL
